GREAT GATSBY TRIP!
Voices Visit the West End: The Great Gatsby
As part of our commitment to inspiring and developing our students beyond weekly training, Voices recently took a group of students to London’s West End to see The Great Gatsby.
Experiencing live theatre at this level is an important part of our students’ artistic growth. Watching a large-scale professional production, with its stunning staging, choreography, live orchestra and powerhouse performances, gave our students the opportunity to see storytelling, vocal technique and ensemble work brought to life on one of the world’s most iconic stages.
For many of our students, it was a valuable insight into the standard and professionalism required in the industry. Seeing the energy, precision and commitment of the cast reinforced everything we work on in rehearsals: character detail, vocal strength, physical storytelling and stage presence.
Moments like this also deepen our students’ love of theatre. Sharing the experience together, travelling into the West End, sitting in the auditorium as the lights dimmed, and discussing favourite songs and performances afterwards, created memories that will stay with them long after the final curtain call.
At Voices, we believe training is not just about technique; it is about exposure, inspiration and building confidence. Theatre trips such as this remind our students what is possible and help them to dream bigger, work harder and aspire higher.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm and professionalism our students showed throughout the evening, and we look forward to many more opportunities to experience the very best of live theatre together.
